Mox will be made available to anyone -- at no cost -- who has the three core Guild Wars campaigns active on their account. Mox is expected to be available in the September build.

It will not be a Hero whose Profession you can change at any time. Mox is a Dervish.

The designers were concerned about having players learning another set of Avatar forms, and thought this would not be a good idea for PvP. Thirdly, it's difficult to tell what weapons Mox is wielding, and this is another important concern in PvP. After weighing all these factors, the designers came to the decision that allowing Mox in PvP had more negatives than positives, thus this Hero is PvE-only.

So... this is like a box set of everything we already have? but they want us to buy it just to get a hero?

So, a new hero for the low-low price of paying for all the campaigns I already have all over again?
Somehow, I don't think I'll bother... but I will mentally file this in the 'slap in the face for veteran players' category.
(I can understand wanting something special to draw people in, but I think something like bonus weapons would both be more useful to new players and less likely to cause resentment among older players. Something like this, on the other hand, introduces uncertainty in the franchise... do you REALLY want to buy things straight away when the next promotion might have something shinier in it? Especially if it turns out that M.O.X. has something other heroes don't. Encouraging people to take a 'wait and see' approach to new releases can't be good business practise.)

I'm sure you'll be able to unlock it for a certain amount of faction or they'll offer the hero seperately in the in-game store for like $5

Uhm I own every campaign, EOTN, game of the year bonus weapon pack and the bonus mission pack. On top I bought extra character slots.
Question to Anet: Do people like me have a chance to get or buy that hero seperetaly? I want him on my main.

I'd be sorely tempted to buy it if they offered just the hero in the store.
Depending on the price of course

wat
there arent many exclusive items in gw. expect the addon to appear a few months on the online store, probably after the old 'no this will never be sold seperate' shpeel
on a sidenote, i saw that complete collection listed previously on play.com for like £99. that new price is pretty good, but as others mentioned we dont need another copy of the game, we all have about 12 already
id still like for them to do a proper complete collection with a whole host of ingame and material special items that would justify the price

I am hoping they will also take into consideration that some of us already own all four campaigns; otherwise I am going to miss out on the new hero.
There is no way I am buying a third account.

That was my first response as well, until I noticed the important inclusion of the word 'exclusive'.

I believe they said that about the Bonus Mission Pack too.
So, the time-tested strategy of whining will probably win us the option of buying the hero in the in-game store.

Wow, how stupid of me. What was I thinking, buying Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and GWEN when they were first released? I could have just waited and not only got all 4 cheap but got an extra exclusive hero to boot. Something to think about when GW2 comes along perhaps...

But this is Anet. They claimed the BMP was an exclusive one-time only offer and look what happened with that.
